We are a two-story motel with fifty-five rooms. We offer non-smoking rooms, upon request and we have rooms with spas, that will help you relax after a long day. Mammoth Mountain ski area about 45 miles north, offers spectacular winter sport to more ski buffs than any other complex. Extensive lifts carry thousands up the massive mountain weekly. Gondola cars are operated year around to provide summer visitors with spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada's from the top of Mammoth Mountain.The Devil's Postpile, a National Monument about 13 miles beyond Mammoth and 60 miles from Bishop, is another natural wonder within the Inya National Forest. An amazing geological phenomena of fractured granite stacked by nature like cordwood, the Devil's Postpile is still remote and unfamiliar enough to so many, that it remains in almost exactly the state in which geological upheavals left it thousands of years ago.Indian Petroglyphs, rock carvings left like a string of pearls in a loop about 25 miles north of Bishop, were hewn by vanished red-men so many centuries ago that no one knows from wence they came, or went. A pleasant drive in the sunshine of a Sierra afternoon.Bristlacone Pines, the world's oldest living things, have stood guard four thousand years in the Whites, directly east of Bishop. Twenty-seven miles via Westgard Pass, rewards the visitor with unbelievable mountain vistas, and a time for contemplation amid patriarchs that stood twenty centuries old when history recorded the birth of Christ.
